Each kind has its own job, so you always know what to look for and what to post.

A closed road, a power cut, a checkpoint, a clean-up day, a new warung. The small news you usually learn about too late, posted by someone who's right there.

Write what you see or need, and add up to five photos. A day later it disappears on its own, so what you see is always current.
Why it's not like other social media
Tunjukin is built on purpose as the opposite of the endless scroll.

The order is simple: closest first. Not whatever keeps you scrolling the longest.
No trail of where you go
Only your last point is kept. There is never a history of where you've been.

What is Tunjukin?
An app that shows you what's going on around you: info, events, jobs, buying and selling, even neighbours who need a hand. All of it from people who are actually nearby.
How is it different from Instagram or TikTok?
There you see whatever keeps you hooked longest, from anyone, from anywhere. On Tunjukin you only see what's near you, with no followers and no algorithm. Posts also disappear on their own after 24 hours.
What do I get out of it?
You find out first what's happening around you, spot jobs and finds close by, get answers from neighbours, and can ask for help without knowing anybody first.
Do I need an account?
Yes, once: a name and an email. A six-digit code goes to that address, and that is how you sign in from then on. No password, no phone number.
What is my location used for?
Two things: working out which posts are near you, and pinning your post where you wrote it. Read only while the app is open.
Why so close?
Because that is the distance at which something is still yours. Any further and the new cafe is not your new cafe any more.
Is it free?
It is free. No subscription, nothing locked.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. Android first, and still a trial build.
What if someone is toxic?
Any post can be reported from the app, and anyone can be blocked so the two of you stop seeing each other. Reports are read by a person, not counted by a machine.
